starting CAD Drawing of the go-kart today and will also be researching more on the aluminum, steel, carbon fiber

week 2 Wed:

Researching more on what is better to make a go-kart out of aluminum, steel, and carbon fiber.
Also going to start on the CAD drawing today or tomorrow the latest.

Friday:

As of today I am citing websites and making a bibliography. I have come to a conclusion due to money issues I will be drawing a layout of the go-kart frame in autoCAD for the completed project instead of actually building it.

Thursday

As of today, I have found out what types of welding I should use in assembling the frame of the go-kart depending on what metals are to be used. I found that if I am to use aluminum tubing TIG welding is the best process to use due to most TIG welders are designed for aluminum welding.

Thurs: welding processes that can be use

1. TIG welder with a Tungsten Ceriated or  Lanthanaum electrode for welding aluminum tubing

2. Welding process to  use if using steel tubing is using wire feed welder

To get this information I looked at a couple websites.

Wed: Types of metals to use

Steel or aluminum or even carbon fiber due to its stronger than steel and lighter than aluminum for the frame

Tues: Materials to build the frame

1. 1/8" metal tubing or 1"x1/8" angle iron
2.  tape measure
3. chop saw
4.  welder

week 3

mon-fri: If not finished with drawing continue through the week to finish 

week 2

Mon: start to draw go-cart frame in autocad

Tues: continue drawing 

Wed: continue drawing

Thurs: fix and look over and edit drawing

fri: finish drawing

week 1

Mon:  set up blog and calendar
Tues: research designs for the frame of the go-cart and the materials needed for
Wed: look up what metals to use
thurs: look up what is the best process of welding  to use to assemble the go-cart
fri: go over all of the above to make sure did not forget anything
